MICROGRIDS & VPP

Microgrids

An integrated energy system consisting of interconnected loads and distributed energy resources which have an integrated system can operate in parallel with the grid or in an international islanded mode.

Major Components of Microgrids

  • Energy Supply System
  • Energy Storage Capacity
  • Demand Response & Efficiency Measure
  • Energy Management System
  • Utility Grid Interconnection

Energy Generation of Microgrids

Clean Renewable Source

  • Solar Panels (PV)
  • Wind Turbines
  • Micro Turbines
  • Hydro Power
  • Geothermal
  • Biomass
  • Hydrogen (Fuel Cells)

Green Hydrogen is obtained by an electrolysis of water process, powered entirely by clean renewable energy. It generates no pollutants into the atmosphere and is the cleanest and most sustainable hydrogen. Fuel Cell powered microgrids provide more efficient and predictable clean power that can operate when the surrounding main grid is unavailable. The always-on nature of them means that in case of a local grid outage, a business/church can be a safe place for the community.

Clean Source

  • Linear Generator (using hydrogen fuel cells)
  • Nuclear / Small Modular Reactors (SMR’s)

SMR’s use fission to create heat that generates energy like traditional reactors. Nuclear is technically not renewable because uranium is a finite source.

PROJECT MODELING

With Microgrids, commerce, industry and communities can now benefit from reliable and low cost power. Built-in energy storage allows participating facilities and businesses not only independence from the grid, but the ability to aid and bolster the grid during peak hours for premium earnings. The past known rate payer can now become an earner through a few known methods.

At Sunteque LLC with our Power 2 Power Communities (P2PC) Model, “we have established a path to market for a substantial inclusion of community solar, which will enable access to clean affordable energy for a larger pool of end users, as well as bolster the Main Grid with Stored Energy Offloads during Peak Hours.

VPP Work

What is VPP?

Virtual Power Plants (VPP), also known as battery aggregation or energy sharing, are the next step in solar energy. These are ways homes can get more out of their solar panel PV and battery systems and further reduce their energy bills. The VPP connects batteries in an energy-sharing network.

How does the virtual power plant work?

Energy generated from renewable sources fluctuates daily. For example, the energy supply can fluctuate on cloudy days as solar energy production decreases and demand increases. Our energy needs also change when we move in and out of our homes, and during extreme weather events when we use more heating and cooling equipment.

VPP helps balance energy demand and supply. Homes and their batteries are connected via a network to control the flow of energy and reduce dependence on the grid when demand is high.

Power Purchase Agreement

Customized For Your Business Needs

At Sunteque, we make decarbonized on-site energy, simple and easy for your use. Sunteque has created viability for investment capital, and utilizes medium/long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with our clients. This known contractual tool leaves our clients risk and worry-free since there is No Financial Investment required at all for the full term of the agreement. You’re merely changing your monthly energy provider, to a drastically reduced energy bill from your new provider Sunteque.
